Random thoughts...

So before I call it a night, I have to post this.....first of all, I haven't heard back from Darrell today. I promise that means no news. Darrell knows I need to know asap and he will call me no matter what time with any change, be it good or bad. He is inundated with calls so I've not called him tonight. So no news is good news.

So on to my random thoughts.

1. I was telling a friend the other day that it felt weird to pray for a heart to become available, like I was praying for someone to die. My friend laughed, and said "Oh Jeanie. You sure think backwards sometimes!" I just stared at her. She said "You have no control over who lives/dies. Sadly, accidents happen every day. You have to pray not that someone dies, but that someone had the foresight to become a donor, and their family respects those wishes." Wow. Ok. I can go with that. Makes total sense. Thanks, Vicki- That helps alot!

2. My major concern: How can anyone ever find a heart big enough for April? If you are reading this, you know my April has a huge heart for everyone! Her physical heart may be weak, but I have no doubt her emotional heart will grow through this experience. It's already huge, so who knows what she'll be doing for folks next year!!!

Log in. Create a username and password, and log a comment. Please share a story/event in which April's heart spoke to you/cared for you. She needs to read these as she strengthens. I've known her since we were 5 so I can't write enough. I want to hear from you. Please!
The pic tonight is from Christmas, maybe 2001 or 2002. I'm going to scan in some pics when I have a chance to let you see the good old days!
PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!

Jeanie
ps- again the clock says 8:12. But it's really 11:27 pm....How do I change the clock?? Ugh.

  1. My favorite April story is "fetch me that poke!" I am still not sure what a poke is! Sending her prayers and love...
Also, seeing someone who is in her situation walk is absolutely amazing... It is something that makes you know that prayers are being said and answered!
